New Delhi: The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has launched a unique campaign to promote cleanliness and promote traveler responsibility. It’s called the ‘Clean Toilet Picture Challenge.’ Under this campaign, users who take and upload a photo of a dirty toilet at a national highway toll plaza will receive a Rs 1,000 FASTag recharge as a reward.
Initiatives Under Special Campaign 5.0
This initiative is part of ‘Special Campaign 5.0,’ which aims to ensure clean and hygienic toilets on highways. This will provide a better and safer travel experience for travelers. Users participating in the campaign can upload photos of poor toilet conditions through the ‘Rajmarg Yatra’ mobile app. Photos must be geo-tagged and time-stamped.

Important Information and Terms
When uploading photos, users must provide their name, location, vehicle registration number (VRN), and mobile number. Only valid reports will be recognized, and a recharge of Rs 1,000 will be added to the vehicle’s FASTag. This amount is non-cash and non-transferable.

Campaign Deadline and Rules
This scheme is limited to October 31, 2025, and will only apply to toilets under NHAI jurisdiction. A vehicle will receive only one reward per day. If multiple complaints are received for a single toilet in a single day, only the first complaint will be recognized. Fake, old, or edited photos will not be considered valid.
