DIG Udhampur-Reasi Meets Northern Command Chief, Focus On Security Grid

Udhampur: In a move aimed at strengthening security coordination, DIG Udhampur-Reasi Range Shiv Kumar Sharma met the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Northern Command at the Northern Command Headquarters on Wednesday.

Officials described the meeting as a key step toward enhancing cooperation between the Jammu and Kashmir Police and the Indian Army in a strategically sensitive region.

Focus on Security and Counter-Infiltration

During the discussions, both sides reviewed the current security situation in the Udhampur-Reasi belt. Key areas of focus included counter-infiltration measures, intelligence sharing systems, and rapid response strategies.

The region is considered critical due to its proximity to the Kashmir Valley and its role as an important transit corridor. Authorities stressed the need for constant vigilance and coordinated action to prevent any security breaches.
