Boycott of Turkish apples
Lakhimpur Kheri: All India Hindu Mahasabha staged a strong protest against Turkey at Naveen Galla Mandi, Sitapur Road, Lucknow. The organization expressed objection to Turkey's anti-India stance and standing with Pakistan and demanded boycott of fruits imported from there, especially apples, reports Dynamite News correspondent.
A large number of activists led by National Spokesperson Shishir Chaturvedi met the commission agents in the market and appealed to them to stop selling Turkish fruits. Chaturvedi said that India has always helped Turkey, but Turkey has shown its double character by supporting Pakistan on the issue of terrorism. In such a situation, there is a need for economic boycott of Turkey.
Many activists said that if any other country also goes against us and our country, we will stage a stronger protest. They further said that at present we are boycotting the products of Turkey and Pakistan, in future we will also boycott their culture and other traditions.
Hindu Mahasabha warned that if the sale of Turkish products continues in the city's restaurants, then protests will be held against them. Many officials of Lakhimpur Kheri including Ashwani Kashyap, Bajrang Sonkar, Jagdish Joshi, Rajesh Agarwal, Ramesh Soni, Satya Nishad participated in the protest.
The organization made it clear that this campaign will continue in future too and in the national interest, the products of all such countries will be opposed which stand against India. The organization has issued this statement and announced that it is very concerned about the Indo-Pak fight at this time.
Apart from Uttar Pradesh, Turkish apples are also being boycotted in Rajasthan. Traders of Rajasthan have stopped importing apples from Turkey after the ongoing tension between India and Pakistan, as the West Asian country has recently decided to support Pakistan during the tension with India. The price of these apples in the market was 200 to 250 rupees per kilogram, which started coming in March. Turkish apples are sold in districts including Jaipur, Ajmer, Alwar, Bharatpur and Udaipur, which has now stopped.
