ECI Publishes UP Draft Roll After Massive Revision

Lucknow: Important news for voters in Uttar Pradesh. The draft voter list for Uttar Pradesh, as part of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2026, has been released today, January 6. The list was published by the Election Commission of India (ECI). This is considered to be the largest voter list purification exercise ever, in which crores of names have been checked and verified.

According to Chief Electoral Officer Navdeep Rinwa, the list was originally scheduled to be released on December 31, but the date was changed due to the creation of over 15,000 new polling booths and the digitization of all enumeration forms.

Online Method (Easiest):

Go to the Voter Service Portal at voters.eci.gov.in

Search by entering your EPIC number in the “Special Intensive Revision (SIR) – 2026” section.

A PDF list by district and assembly constituency is also available on ceoouttarpradesh.nic.in.

Offline Method:

Visit your nearest polling station to view the draft list.

Contact the Booth Level Officer (BLO).

If your name is mistakenly included in the ASD (Absent, Shifted, Dead) list, file an objection immediately.

What to do if your name is missing or incorrect?

If your name is missing or incorrect, there's no need to panic. Claims and objections filing period: January 6 to February 6, 2026

Form 6: For adding a new name or deleting a name

Form 7: For removing an incorrect name

Form 8: For correcting a name, address, photo, or spelling

Notices will be issued to approximately 1.25 crore "unmapped voters." Such voters will be required to provide a self-attested copy of their Aadhaar, passport, or birth certificate, or their names may be removed.
