Uttarakhand: IMD predicts heavy rain in five districts

Dehradun: Heavy rain is expected in Uttarakhand today. Continuous rain continues in Uttarakhand from mountains to plains. It is raining intermittently in Dehradun, due to which the weather has become cold.

According to the Dynamite News correspondent, the Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy to very heavy rain at some places in Dehradun, Nainital, Pauri, Tehri and Udham Singh Nagar districts today. Heavy showers with thunder and lightning have also been predicted in other districts. Along with this, there is also a danger of lightning.

The department also said that heavy rains may increase the water level in rivers and streams and the roads may become slippery, due to which travelers need to be cautious. Tourists and travelers have been advised to travel according to the weather conditions. The Meteorological Center Dehradun has issued a yellow alert and advised people to be cautious.

Yellow alert has been issued in Dehradun, Tehri, Rudraprayag, Nainital and Bageshwar, where heavy rain, lightning and strong winds are expected. Heavy rain and lightning warning has also been issued in Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Almora, Udham Singh Nagar and Pauri.
