Cold weather has started spreading across Delhi-NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Rajasthan. IMD forecasts a further temperature drop after November 1, with light rain likely in parts of eastern UP, Bihar, and southern Rajasthan due to Cyclone Maantha’s impact.
Cold Weather Arrives in Delhi-NCR
New Delhi: The effects of winter are now being felt in Delhi-NCR. Until a few days ago, the temperature was only dropping at night, but now a slight chill is being felt even during the day. On Tuesday, the maximum daytime temperature was recorded at approximately 26 degrees Celsius.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted a possibility of light rain in the coming days. If it rains, the temperature may drop further, increasing the cold.

In Delhi, there will be light fog and clear skies this morning. Some clouds are expected by the afternoon.
Maximum temperature: 29–31 degrees Celsius

The wind speed in the morning will be around 5 km per hour, which may reach up to 10 km per hour in the afternoon. The wind speed will decrease again by nightfall.
According to the Meteorological Department, the cold will intensify from November 1st. In addition, a sudden drop in temperature may also be observed due to the influence of Cyclone Montha.
Winter Arrives in Delhi-NCR, Rain Expected
The weather pattern is also changing in Uttar Pradesh. There will be light fog and mist in the morning, but the sky will remain clear.
Western UP: The weather will remain dry, meaning no rain is expected.
Eastern UP: There is a possibility of light rain and thunderstorms.
The IMD says that the temperature in the state may drop further in the coming days, increasing the cold.
In Bihar, there will be no major change in temperature for the next 48 hours. The Meteorological Department says that the weather will remain stable in most places, although some areas may experience light rain with thunderstorms.
This means that temperature fluctuations will be minimal for now, but the effects of winter may increase at the beginning of November.
Rajasthan has experienced significant rainfall activity in recent days, but this is now decreasing.
According to the Meteorological Department, the spell of heavy rain started to subside from October 29th. However, light to moderate rain may continue in the southern and southeastern parts of the state for the next 4-5 days.
After that, the weather will become completely dry, and the cold is expected to intensify.
