New Delhi: The 85-page affidavit of Jammu and Kashmir separatist leader Yasin Malik has created a sensation in political and intelligence circles. Malik makes several shocking claims in this affidavit, raising questions not only about his past activities but also bringing his ties to Pakistan and terrorist organizations back into the spotlight.

Pleading for his life from Lashkar-e-Taiba

According to sources, in 2013, Yasin Malik pleaded for mercy to the Pakistani intelligence agency ISI and the terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) to save himself. Indeed, Pakistan and Lashkar suspected that Yasin Malik was secretly in contact with Indian intelligence agencies.

Due to this suspicion, Lashkar planned to assassinate Malik, and a terrorist named Hilal Dar was chosen for the purpose. Dar was tasked with conducting a recce of Malik's house in the Maisuma area of ​​Srinagar in 2012.

Pakistan's suspicions were further strengthened when Maulvi Shaukat, a close associate of Yasin Malik, was killed in a bicycle IED explosion near his home. This convinced Pakistan that Malik was working in collaboration with India.
