Amid rising tensions in the Middle East and disruptions near the Strait of Hormuz, an Indian vessel has safely reached the country while another crude oil tanker from the UAE is expected to arrive at Mundra Port soon.

New Delhi: An Indian cargo vessel has safely returned to the country after crossing the sensitive maritime route near the Strait of Hormuz amid ongoing tensions in West Asia.
According to the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, maritime operations linked to Indian cargo vessels remain stable and there have been no reported delays in the discharge of cargo.

Officials confirmed that the Indian vessel Shivalik successfully navigated through the Strait of Hormuz and reached India without any incident.
Another vessel, Jag Laadki, which departed from the United Arab Emirates carrying crude oil, is currently en route to India and is expected to arrive at Mundra Port on Tuesday.
Authorities also noted that 22 cargo carriers are currently positioned west of the Strait of Hormuz as shipping companies closely monitor developments in the region.
The government has taken steps to ensure smooth cargo movement despite the uncertain situation.
The Jawaharlal Nehru Port has arranged temporary storage facilities for cargo. The port has also announced a 100 per cent waiver on storage charges for 15 days for cargo originating from the port to support logistics operations.
Officials said that no maritime incidents involving Indian cargo vessels have been reported in the last 24 hours and that all seafarers remain safe.

The Directorate General of Shipping said it facilitated the repatriation of 33 seafarers within the past 25 hours as part of precautionary measures during the ongoing regional tensions.
Meanwhile, India has evacuated more than 550 citizens from Iran through a land route via Armenia. Expressing appreciation for the assistance provided, S. Jaishankar thanked the Armenian government for facilitating the safe passage of Indian nationals.
Authorities have also advised Indian citizens in Iran to move toward neighbouring countries such as Armenia and Azerbaijan, where arrangements are being made for their safe return to India.
