She said that it is the duty of the opposition leader to question the government, and Rahul Gandhi has never made any derogatory statement against the army. The Supreme Court had objected to a statement made by Rahul Gandhi during the 'Bharat Jodo Yatra,' in which he said that China has occupied 2000 square kilometers of India's land. The court said that if he is a true Indian, he will not say such things. However, the court stayed the proceedings going on in a Lucknow court. A bench of Justice Dipankar Dutta and Justice Augustine George Masih had asked Rahul Gandhi how he got the information that China has occupied Indian land. The court said that if he does not have any concrete evidence, then why is he making such a statement? Priyanka Gandhi's response Priyanka Gandhi said that the court's statement that it is beyond their jurisdiction to decide "who is a true Indian." She stressed that it is the right and duty of the opposition to question the government.
