As Bihar’s political battle intensifies, Amit Shah declares that by 11 AM on counting day, RJD and Congress will be “wiped out,” while the NDA under Modi and Nitish will return to power. Yogi Adityanath and other leaders also launch fierce attacks on the Opposition.
Amit Shah predicts RJD and Congress defeat.
Patna: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday made a bold prediction that the Opposition Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and Congress will be wiped out by 11 AM on November 14, when counting for the Bihar Assembly Elections begins. Addressing a massive rally in Ramnagar, Bettiah, Shah declared that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will return to power with a clear majority.
“Do you want to know what will happen on November 14? Counting will begin at 8 AM, and by 11 AM, the parties of Lalu and Rahul will be wiped out. NDA under Modi ji and Nitish Kumar will form the government with a strong majority,” Shah told the crowd amid loud cheers.
The Union Home Minister’s statement comes as polling continues in the first phase of Bihar’s two-phase elections.
Amit Shah launched a fierce attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, accusing him of siding with infiltrators and creating false narratives against the BJP. Referring to Gandhi’s past statements, Shah said, “Four months ago, Rahul Baba started ‘Ghuspetiya Bachchao Yatra’ and said Bangladeshi infiltrators should remain on our voter list. Should infiltrators decide who will be the Chief Minister of Bihar?”
He went on to assert that the BJP would continue its mission to eliminate all illegal infiltrators from the country, saying, “No matter how many press conferences you hold, the BJP will remove every infiltrator. For Modi, the nation comes first; for the Opposition, corruption comes first.”
Bihar Elections 2025: Jobs for youth, safety for women take center stage in voter priorities
Campaigning in Sitamarhi, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath echoed Shah’s sentiments, holding the RJD and Congress responsible for what he called an “identity crisis” among Bihar’s youth.
“Who are those people who tarnished Bihar’s identity and created an identity crisis for its youth?” Yogi asked. “Wherever Bihar’s youth went, they made the state proud with their talent and hard work. But RJD and Congress deceived them repeatedly. The people will ensure that these parties never get another chance.”
He praised Bihar’s youth for their intelligence and contribution to society, saying that the NDA’s policies focus on empowering them through education, employment, and stability.
As voting continued in the first phase, delegates from seven countries, including Indonesia, France, Belgium, and South Africa, observed the polling arrangements made by the Election Commission of India. The visit, part of the International Electors Visitor Programme, aimed to showcase India’s electoral transparency and management capabilities.
The observers visited polling stations to understand the use of EVMs, voter verification systems, and security protocols that ensure free and fair elections.

Meanwhile, Bihar’s Chief Electoral Officer dismissed allegations by the RJD that power cuts were being deliberately implemented at polling stations in Opposition strongholds.
“This allegation is completely baseless and misleading,” the CEO said. “Voting is taking place smoothly at all polling stations, and the Election Commission is following all standard protocols to ensure fairness and transparency.”
As the first phase progresses, political temperatures in Bihar continue to rise, with both camps trading sharp accusations. However, the NDA leaders appear confident that their message of stability, governance, and national security will resonate with voters ahead of the November 14 counting day.
