New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has highlighted NDA’s electoral victories across several states, crediting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership while launching a sharp political attack on Rahul Gandhi and the INDIA alliance. In a statement, the party cited electoral victories in West Bengal, Assam and Puducherry, along with recent local body election results in Rajasthan and Tripura, as evidence of continued public support for the BJP-led alliance.
BJP claimed that the latest results reflected voters’ confidence in the party’s leadership and political agenda. It also accused the opposition alliance of spreading misinformation and misleading the public. These assertions represent BJP’s political position on the election outcomes rather than an independent assessment of voter sentiment.
The party further alleged that opposition leaders frequently question democratic institutions following electoral setbacks. According to the BJP, voters have become increasingly aware of what it described as the opposition’s political approach. The statement portrayed the NDA’s performance as a renewed endorsement of the ruling alliance and an indication of its continued electoral momentum.
BJP extended congratulations to West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, Tripura Chief Minister Professor Manik Saha and Puducherry Chief Minister N. Rangasamy. The party also acknowledged the contributions of state presidents and grassroots workers, crediting their organisational efforts for the alliance’s electoral performance.
The statement underscores the continuing political confrontation between the BJP-led NDA and the opposition INDIA alliance, with electoral outcomes remaining central to competing claims of public support.
As political parties interpret the results through their respective narratives, the latest remarks signal that the contest between the ruling alliance and opposition leaders is likely to remain a prominent feature of India's political debate.
