New Delhi: The Delhi unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday announced its new state leadership team, retaining several experienced leaders while assigning key organisational responsibilities to new faces. The appointments were announced by Delhi BJP President Harsh Malhotra as the party prepares for upcoming political and organisational activities.
Among the major appointments, Vishnu Mittal has been reappointed as the Delhi BJP General Secretary. The party leadership has once again placed its confidence in his organisational experience and administrative role within the state unit.
Councillor Yogita Singh has also been appointed as a General Secretary, a move that is being seen as an effort to strengthen women's representation in the party's organisational structure.
The BJP has appointed Praveen Shankar Kapoor as the new Media Head for the Delhi unit. He will oversee the party's media outreach and communication strategy.
Rohit Chahal has been named a State Secretary, while Santosh Ojha has retained charge of the Purvanchal Morcha. Several other leaders have also been entrusted with responsibilities across the party's organisational wings.
The newly announced team includes 10 Vice Presidents, three General Secretaries, nine State Secretaries, a Treasurer, Office Bearers, and heads of the Media, IT and Social Media departments. The BJP has also named presidents for its Youth, Women, OBC, SC, ST, Minority, Kisan and Purvanchal Morchas.
With the announcement of the new state team, the Delhi BJP has begun strengthening its organisational structure for upcoming political programmes and public outreach initiatives. The reshuffle combines experienced leaders with new appointments as the party looks to expand its presence across the national capital.
