Rahul Gandhi Press Meet on NEET Paper Leak

New Delhi: Congress MP and LoP Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday, 22nd July, launched a fresh strike on the government over the NEET UG 2026 paper leak while addressing a press conference. He accused the government of failing students and demanding the resignation of Union Minister of Education, Dharmendra Pradhan.

In the press meet, he put allegations on the government that India’s education system has become a ‘rigged system’. He further claimed that there had been 152 paper leaks in the past 10 years and no one has been convicted yet.

Gandhi also criticised the action of Delhi Police against students protesting on 20th July against the paper leak.

While addressing on eduction system and paper leaks, Gandhi said, "In the last 10 years, 152 paper leaks have taken place, and there have been zero convictions. Zero. So somebody, or a group of people, has destroyed our education system, India’s most valuable asset, destroying the lives of our students. And what does the government do? Zero convictions.”

The Congress party and other opposition leaders, including SP chief Akhilesh Yadav, protested outside the PM’s residence, 7 Lok Kalayan Marg, on 21st July, and as a result of that, Delhi Police detained all the leaders.

One reporter asked Rahul Gandhi about the detention and how officials dragged him to the bus, on which he replied that those officers who were dragging me were saying to me that please change the government.
