Tamil Nadu Government Issues ‘Anti-Bribery’ Advisory: Order Boards And Banner At Government Offices And Websites

Chennai: TVK led Tamil Nadu government has directed Government offices and website to display a WhatsApp number, phone number, and e-mail ID for filing complaints regarding bribery and corruption. The latest notification issued by Chief Secretary of Tamil Nadu Government, Dr. M Sai Kumar, after the previous DMK government orders to show such “anti-bribery” boards did not benefitted the government and people of Tamil Nadu. 

In past two decades, the Tamil Nadu Government’s Personnel and Administration Reforms Department has issued five orders to Display “anti-bribery” boards at Government offices. The governments itself have admitted that those orders were not followed in any of offices and notice boards were not displayed prominently at publicly visible points. 

The new order dated 14th July 2026, the chief secretary urged all the Departments of Secretariat, the HODs, all collectors, District level officials to display ‘Anti-bribery’ Notice Boards in English and Tamil language in every office, public places at visible points, and even on websites.
