Abhishek Sharma and Hardik Pandya were seen struggling with hamstring issues in this match. Hardik Pandya opened the bowling for Team India and dismissed Kusal Mendis in the very first over. However, Hardik left the field after this over and was never seen again.
Abhishek Sharma also left the field after the 10th over. Tilak Verma was also seen limping towards the end of the match, after which Jitesh Sharma, Rinku Singh, and Shivam Dubey were seen fielding.
At the press conference following the victory over Sri Lanka, Team India's bowling coach Morne Morkel provided an update on the injuries to Hardik Pandya and Abhishek Sharma. Morkel stated that both players suffered cramps during the match. Hardik will be examined, after which a decision will be made. Abhishek is now fine.
