However, if Afghanistan pulls off a surprise victory, the qualification could hinge on the net run rate. Sri Lanka's net run rate is currently +1.546.
After losing its previous match against Bangladesh, Afghanistan are in a precarious position. Today's match against Sri Lanka is a must-win for team. If Afghanistan manages to defeat Sri Lanka, it can qualify for the Super 4, as it's net run rate is better than the other two teams. However, a defeat will mean its immediate elimination from the tournament.
Bangladesh have played all three of its group stage matches in the Asia Cup.
