New Delhi: Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has been announced Indian women's cricket team for the Women's ODI World Cup 2025. Harmanpreet Kaur will be captain the team this time while Smriti Mandhana serving as vice-captain. The team is unique because bowler Renuka Singh Thakur who has recovered has returned but seasoned batsman while Shefali Verma has not had a chance this time.

M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore ACA Stadium in Guwahati Holkar Stadium in Indore ACA-VDCA Stadium in Visakhapatnam and R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo Sri Lanka are the five cities where the matches will take place.

India, Australia, England, South Africa, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Pakistan are the eight teams that will compete in the tournament. India will begin with games against Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Its next opponents are Australia on October 12 in Visakhapatnam and South Africa on October 9. Matches against Bangladesh in Bangalore on October 26 New Zealand in Guwahati on October 23 and England in Indore on October 19 are scheduled. Nearly every member of the World Cup squad is on the team that the BCCI selection committee has revealed for the ODI series against Australia.
