Abu Dhabi: The IPL 2026 Mini Auction is set to take place today in Abu Dhabi and has generated massive excitement among cricket fans. This time, it is a mini auction, where franchises will focus on filling key gaps in their squads rather than complete rebuilding.
Fans can watch the IPL 2026 auction live on television and mobile devices, while continuous live updates will also be available online. More than 350 players have been shortlisted for the auction, but only a maximum of 77 players can be bought by all 10 teams combined.
The total purse available across teams stands at ₹237.55 crore. Kolkata Knight Riders enter the auction with the biggest purse of ₹64.30 crore and are expected to be very active, as they need to buy around 13 players to reshape their squad.
Chennai Super Kings follow closely with a strong purse of ₹43.40 crore and will look to add balanced options to their team. On the other hand, Mumbai Indians have the smallest purse of just ₹2.75 crore, limiting their options in the auction.
