New Delhi: Virat Kohli added another milestone to his illustrious career during an Indian Premier League 2026 match between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium.
The star batter became the first player in T20 cricket history to score 1000 runs against Mumbai Indians. Entering the match with 980 runs against the franchise, Kohli crossed the landmark early in the innings with a couple of runs off Jasprit Bumrah.

Kohli also registered a composed half-century, reaching the milestone in 37 balls. He played a stabilising role for Bengaluru after being put in to bat, ensuring the team maintained momentum.
This knock marked his seventh 50-plus score against Mumbai Indians in IPL history, placing him among the top performers against the franchise.
