Kimi Antonelli Delivers Historic Grand Slam
Monaco: Mercedes driver Kimi Antonelli produced a commanding performance at the Monaco Grand Prix 2026, continuing his remarkable 2026 Formula 1 season with a fifth consecutive victory and a place in the sport’s record books. The F1 2026 season withness a historic movent as the young E1 Chanpion stunned the entire grid.
The 19-year-old Italian became the youngest driver in Formula 1 history to complete a Grand Slam. The rare achievement requires a driver to secure pole position, lead every lap, set the fastest lap, and win the race. Antonelli executed all four elements with precision, underlining his dominance from start to finish in the Monaco GP winner profomeance.
Starting from pole position, Antonelli managed the race with maturity on Monaco’s narrow street circuit, where overtaking opportunities are limited and mistakes often prove costly. Even a mid-race safety car and red flag interruption did not disrupt his rhythm or focus.
When the race resumed, he quickly reasserted control, steadily rebuilding his advantage over the field.
In the closing stages, Antonelli set a series of fastest laps, at times lapping more than a second quicker than Ferrari’s Lewis Hamilton, who finished second. The result also saw Hamilton match Ayrton Senna’s record for Monaco podium finishes, adding another milestone to the weekend.
Isack Hadjar secured an impressive provisional third place after a competitive drive.
The victory marked Antonelli’s fifth consecutive win, equalling a streak once achieved by Lewis Hamilton earlier in his career. It also extended his championship lead to 68 points, strengthening his position in the title race.
The result proved costly for Mercedes teammate and rival George Russell, who lost valuable ground in the standings, as Antonelli continues to dominate the 2026 season.
