Dambulla: India A batter Vaibhav Sooryavanshi was involved in a verbal exchange with Sri Lanka A players after the conclusion of their One-Day Tri-Series match in Dambulla on Monday, following a tense finish that went into a Super Over.

Thrilling Finish Goes to Super Over

The match was decided in a dramatic Super Over after both teams finished level in regulation time. Chasing 19 runs in the Super Over, India A needed eight runs off the final delivery to secure victory.

Sri Lanka A pacer Kugathas Mathulan delivered a pinpoint yorker on the last ball, leaving Sooryavanshi unable to connect and sealing a win for the hosts in a tense finish.

Emotions Run High After Final Ball

Immediately after the decisive delivery, Sri Lanka A players began celebrating the victory. However, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi appeared visibly frustrated and exchanged words with one of the Sri Lankan fielders.

Teammates Step In to Defuse Situation

India A teammate Suryansh Shedge quickly intervened and pulled Sooryavanshi away from the confrontation. Despite this, the young batter continued the exchange briefly before both sides completed the customary post-match handshakes.
