History
Sultan Sikandar built the Jamia Masjid in 1400 AD and was later extended by his son Zain-ul-Abidin. 
It is considered as one of city’s tourist attractions. 

Architecture
The Mosque portrays Indo-Saracen architecture. The structure is designed with 370 wooden pillars and has a splendid courtyard. 
The hushed quiet of the mosque counterpoints the bustle of the old bazaars surrounding it.

Festivals
Thousands of Muslims assemble at the Mosque every Friday to offer their prayers. Muslims believe that by offering prayers in this scared mosque, their sins are forgiven.
