New Delhi: A two-day 'Review, Planning & Monitoring (RPM) Meeting with States & State Power Utilities' is being held at Bharat Mandapam under the auspices of Ministry of Power, Government of India. The meeting began on Thursday.

On this occasion, senior IAS Mahesh Gupta, Additional Chief Secretary, Energy Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh, in an exclusive conversation with Dynamite News Editor-in-Chief Manoj Tibrewal Aakash, said that soon the uninterrupted supply of electricity to every household in the state will be ensured under a special scheme prepared by the Central and State governments.

In response to a question from Dynamite News regarding the electricity problem in remote and rural areas of UP, Mahesh Gupta said that recently a major meeting was held of the secrataries of states under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In the meeting, clear instructions were given to provide uninterrupted facilities including electricity in rural areas.

Gupta said that the Uttar Pradesh government is working towards ensuring that no electricity consumer faces any kind of problem and doesn't have to come to electricity office again and again. The government is strengthening the electricity system in rural areas so that no consumer has to go through any kind of electricity problem.
