DN Exclusive: Struggled himself to become IPS, brought success to entire family; Now son cracks UPSC

To taste success despite massive struggles and hardships is quite a rare fortune. But here is Uday Pratap coming from quite a backward region of Uttar Pradesh with adverse circumstances, not only himself achieved success but brought his entire family to its lap. New Delhi: The path to success is zigzag with lot of curls and curves often jammed with many obstacles and challenges. Only the ones who have courage and grit can wind through it and come out with flying colours.

And here is a man named Uday Pratap Singh who crossed all barriers and blocks and ultimately fulfilled his most cherished desire and became an IPS. 

Humble Background
Coming from an extremely backward village Parna in Salempur tehsil of Thana Lar of Deoria district Uttar Pradesh, Uday Pratap Singh  inherited deprivation and struggle. His childhood was full of adverse circumstances.

Firm Determination
But the high spirits of Uday Pratap Singh always encouraged him to face every obstacle boldly. His determination never ever wavered and at last he came out a winner. 

Sweet Success
And finally Uday Pratap Singh cracked the UPSC and became an IPS.

Forward Journey
But the real journey for Uday Pratap started now. In the immortal words of Robert Frost:
The woods are lovely dark and deep
But I have promises to keep
And miles to go before I sleep
And miles to go before I sleep
This young IPS had many more miles to walk ahead. Now the huge responsibility of his three children was there on his shoulders. His wife Durgesh Nandini retired as DIG of Uttar Pradesh and now is an advocate in the Lucknow bench of Allahabad High Court.

The efforts of Uday Pratap for his children brought fruits. 

His eldest daughter Yugmita Pratap qualified the UP PCSJ examination and became a judge. She is currently posted as Civil Judge in Kanpur Dehat.
  
His second daughter Aparimita Pratap is a noted lawyer in Mumbai. Aparimita further aspires to do her Masters in Law and practice in the Supreme Court.

And his youngest child Abhyudaya has cracked the UPSC Exam-2023.   

Besides, his younger brother Vidyasagar finally became an IAS from PCS.

In conversation with Dynamite News:
Uday Pratap Singh exclusively spoke to Dynamite News just after his son Abhyudaya had qualified the UPSC. He said: 

1. Abhyudaya cracked the UPSC in first attempt and that too without coaching 
2. Abhyudaya took only online support as and when required

Uday Pratap further said that due frequent postings at different places, he settled his family in Lucknow so that children could devote their full attention to their studies uninterrupted. 

Education: The Biggest Motivation
While talking to Dynamite News, Uday Pratap finally stressed the need of proper education to children for their success.
