New Delhi. The Kawasaki India is gearing up for the launch of Versys 650 next month. Once launched, the Kawasaki Versys 650 is expected to be priced around the Rs 5.5 lakh mark.
The Versys 650 is a dual-purpose touring motorcycle. Aesthetically, it is similar to its larger sibling, the Versys 1000. The 650 model of the Versys is equipped with dual headlamps, height adjustable windscreen, large 21-litre fuel tank, LED taillight. It is also having features like suspension with generous travel and ABS. It is powered by the same powerplant as the Ninja 650, but in a different state of tune, for relaxed, highway cruising. The parallel-twin, 649cc engine makes 69PS of power and 63.7Nm of peak torque.
Kawasaki India is already selling the Versys 1000 in India and the launch of the smaller sibling at an affordable price is expected to increase its customer base as it will be welcomed by the touring crowd in India.
