New Delhi: The Railways has notified 540 more trains so far to clear the Holi rush and ensure smooth and comfortable travel to the passengers. 

According to a notification by the Ministry of Railways issued on Thursday, trains have been planned to connect major destinations across the country on railway routes like Delhi- Patna, Delhi- Bhagalpur, Delhi-Muzaffarpur, Delhi-Saharsa, Gorakhpur- Mumbai, Kolkata-Puri, Guwahati- Ranchi, New Delhi- Sri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra, Jaipur- Bandra Terminus, Pune- Danapur, Durg-Patna, Barauni-Surat, etc, reports Dynamite News correspondent.

At the same time, crowd controlling measures by forming queues at the terminus stations for smooth entry of passengers in unreserved coaches is being ensured.

Additional Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel have been deployed at all major stations to ensure security of passengers. Officers are deployed on emergency duty for smooth running of trains, the notification said.
