Dehradun: Shri Kedarnath Dham Yatra to resume with the opening of Temple Doors on 2 May. 

This year the Holy Yatra is going to be lot convenient as the helicopter service for Kedarnath Dham will start as soon as the pilgrimage resumes on 2 May. 

The ticket booking for Kedarnath helicopter service will start from April 8 at 12 noon for journeys from 2 May to 31 May 2025.

As many as nine companies will provide these services from Guptkashi, Phata and Sirsi. The travel route of Chardham Yatra has been divided into several zones. Around 6000 police personnel will be deployed on the travel route.

The helicopter fare is as follows: 

1. From Guptkashi: The fare to Kedarnath from Guptkashi will be Rs 8532.
2. From Phata: The fare to Kedarnath from Phata will be Rs 6062.
3. From Sirsi: The fare to Kedarnath from Sirsi has been fixed at Rs 6060. 

To ensure complete security during Chardham Yatra, exclusive arrangements have been made. The Yatra route has been divided into super 15 zones, 41 zones and 137 sectors. A control room is being set up in the range office itself to monitor the Yatra route.

IG Range Garhwal Rajiv Swaroop and Traffic Director NS Napalchal said that about 6000 officers and employees will be deployed on the Yatra route.
