Maharashtra: Neighbour rapes 8-year-old girl in Latur

Latur: An 8-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her neighbour in Maharashtra's Latur district, police said on Friday. 

According to Dynamite News correspondent, the incident was reported from Halgara village in Nilanga tehsil. 

The police said that the incident took place on Wednesday afternoon. 

Accused, who has been identified as Karim Imam Muva (28) had asked the child to get some betel nuts from a nearby shop. But when she found the shop closed, she went back to his house to return the money. Muva raped her then, the police said. 

The accsued has been arrested by the police after a case under under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act was registered. (With Agency Inputs)
