Ranji Trophy: Virat Kohli named in Delhi’s 22-member provisional squad, but will he play?

New Delhi: Star India batter Virat Kohli was named in Delhi's 22-member provisional squad for their upcoming Ranji Trophy Elite Group D match against Saurashtra in Rajkot starting January 23. 

Nursing a niggle
However, there is still doubt on his participation as it came to light that he is nursing a niggle.

Kohli intimates DDCA about his niggle 
According to reports, Ex-India skipper Kohli has intimated Delhi and Districts Cricket Association (DDCA) that he has a neck niggle that he sustained in Sydney during the final Border-Gavaskar Trophy Test against Australia.

If he plays, it will be his first Ranji Trophy game since 2012.

Wicket-keeper and batter Rishabh Pant  has confirmed his availability for the Ranji game.
