California: Monster wildfires burned out of control on Saturday in northern and southern California. Having already killed at least nine people, it had forced hundreds of thousands to flee their homes.

The Camp Fire and Woolsey Fire which broke out on Thursday has since blackened more than 90,000 acres and more than 200,000 people are under mandatory evacuation.
Among those forced to flee were celebrities including Lady Gaga and Kim Kardashian, who said on Twitter that flames had damaged the home she shares in nearby Calabasas with Kanye West. (Reuters)
