Lucknow: The government of Uttar Pradesh has shuffled some IAS officials, designating new District Magistrates (DMs) in Ayodhya, Chandauli, Amethi, Badaun, Etawah, and Kannauj.

This is a part of an administrative reorganisation in view of key governance efforts. 

No official explanation was given, though such transfers are common in bureaucratic redeployment.

The new DMs are anticipated to assume control at once.
