New Delhi: The world of AI is changing rapidly, and now it is not limited to just questions and answers or text. Elon Musk’s company xAI has taken a new and bold step in the world of AI chatbots. A new feature called “AI Companions” has now been added to the company’s flagship chatbot Grok, under which the user can create a personal virtual companion.
This feature not only talks based on text, but also communicates with facial expressions, tone of voice, and emotional response. To make it more interesting, Musk has recently launched two special characters – Ani and Valentine.
Ani is a gothic-style anime girl who flirts with users, compliments them, and gets more personal as the conversation deepens. This AI girlfriend avatar also dances from time to time and appears in an interactive 3D form.
On the other hand, Musk has also recently launched a new AI boyfriend named Valentine. He has described it as a mix of Twilight’s Edward Cullen and Fifty Shades of Grey’s Christian Grey. Valentine has been designed as a “serious, mysterious, and dark-haired” personality. It is for those users who want a slightly more serious and romantic experience, away from Ani’s bubbly personality.
Apart from this, there is also an animated red panda named Rudi, who is sometimes cute and funny, and sometimes becomes “Bad Rudi” and abuses and makes sharp remarks.
How To Activate This feature?
This feature is not available to everyone. Only Super Grok subscribers can use it, which costs $30 per month (about ₹2,600). If you take an annual subscription, it will be available for $300 (about ₹26,000). Currently, this feature is available only for iPhone users. Android and web versions are still in development.
Process To Activate AI Companion
- Download the Grok app
- Go to Settings
- Turn on the “Enable Companions” option
- Choose your favorite AI character
- Start a conversation – via text or voice
- You can also record or share the conversation
The most unique thing about this feature is that every AI companion is completely different, unique, and becomes more personal with time. Elon Musk claims that AI technology is now ready not only to help, but also to accompany.
