India has halved its poverty rate since the 1990s and achieved a seven plus growth rate over the last 15 years, the World Bank said on Tuesday.
China on Monday announced that its economy cooled down in the last quarter of 2018, recording a growth rate of 6.6 per cent, which is the slowest in the last 28 years.
The provisional figures of Direct Tax collections up to September (half-yearly figures) witnessed gross collections worth Rs. 5.47 lakh crore which is 16.7 per cent higher than the gross collections for the corresponding period of last year.
