India has registered seven fresh cases of the new variant of COVID-19 Omicron during the past 24 hours, taking the total caseload in the country to 422.
India added 22,842 new coronavirus infections taking the total tally of COVID-19 cases to 3,38,13,903, while the active cases declined to 2,70,557, the lowest in 199 days, according to the Union Health Ministry data updated on Sunday.
India’s cumulative active tally of COVID-19 cases surged to 4,82,071 on Monday with 39,796 new infections reported in the last 24 hours, informed the Union Health Ministry.
With 4,454 new fatalities in the last 24 hours, India on Monday achieved a grim milestone as the country’s COVID-19 death toll crossed the 3-lakh mark, the Union Health Ministry informed.
With 3,26,098 new COVID-19 cases and 3,53,299 recoveries, India recorded more recoveries than the fresh infections in the last 24 hours, according to the Union Health Ministry’s data on Saturday.
As many as 3,43,144 new COVID-19 cases and 3,44,776 recoveries were reported in India in the last 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry reported on Friday, taking the total cases in the country to 2,40,46,809.
