The Indian Navy informed that it will continue rescue operations in Balasore district of Odisha following the havoc created by Cyclone Yaas.
In the wake of the cyclone Yaas, that left a trail of destruction in Odisha, the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), along with state authorities and army, is working to rescue people who have been stranded due to a surge in water levels and uprooted trees.
The impact of Cyclone Yaas on Odisha’s electricity supply infrastructure was minimised significantly because of timely action by the state Energy Department, said an official.
