Lucknow: Samajwadi Party national president and former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav spoke on several important issues in a press conference held at the party office on 9 July (Wednesday). While he raised sharp questions about the government's policies, police action, and honor schemes, a lighthearted incident that happened during the press conference also became a topic of discussion.

Don't use reel dialogues; you will not be called now...

During the press conference, a person told Akhilesh Yadav, "If Allah wishes, you will become the Prime Minister in 2029." To this, Akhilesh replied with a smile, "Don't use reel dialogues; you will not be called now."

After this, the media and other people present there started laughing. Akhilesh further said, "Some people come here to become famous, but when the police are sent home, everything changes." He emphasized that the common people are being intimidated by the misuse of administration and power.

Story of a young man and the role of police

Akhilesh Yadav mentioned a recent incident where a young man posted on Facebook in honor of Kannauj MP (his wife, Dimple Yadav), after which police pressurized him and his father was allegedly asked for Rs 20,000. Later, when the news appeared in the media, the young man's father changed his statement, saying that no money was taken. Taking a jibe at this, Akhilesh said, "If you send an officer, good and bad start getting decided."

Cornered the government on tree plantation

On a journalist's question of whether he wanted to plant a tree in the name of his mother, Akhilesh termed it as "just an event." He said, "The government does not have any long-term strategy; only show-off politics is being done."

Promise to restore Yash Bharti and Arjun Award

Akhilesh Yadav made it clear that if the Samajwadi Party comes to power, the 'Yash Bharti Samman' and 'Arjun Award' will be restarted. He alleged that the present government not only took away the honor but also stopped the financial aid associated with it.

Targeting Gorakhpur's 'Pankhuri episode'

Without naming Akhilesh Yadav, he also mentioned the incident in Gorakhpur, where politics had heated up over the admission of a girl student. He indirectly raised questions on administrative pressure and bias.
