Mathura: The road accident in the Kosikalan area of ​​Mathura district, Uttar Pradesh, has taken a new turn. Following the death of cow vigilante Chandrashekhar alias "Farsa Wale Baba," the truck driver injured in the accident has also succumbed to his injuries during treatment. Police have clarified that the incident was a road accident, fueled by rumors.

Accident occurred in fog

According to police, the accident occurred due to dense fog on Friday night. "Farsa Wale Baba" died on the spot, while the truck driver was seriously injured. He was admitted to a hospital, where he also died during treatment.

Rumors spark riot

Following the incident, some anti-social elements began spreading rumors alleging cow smuggling and murder. These rumors quickly spread throughout the area, and an angry mob blocked the national highway. Police were also pelted with stones and government property was damaged.

13 rioters arrested, main accused also apprehended

Given the seriousness of the matter, the police have taken strict action and arrested 13 people so far. This includes a young man named Daksh Chaudhary, who was allegedly involved in spreading rumors. The police have filed a case against him and sent him to jail.

Identification through CCTV

SSP Shlok Kumar stated that other rioters are being identified using CCTV cameras installed in the area. The police's digital team is also monitoring social media to take action against anyone spreading misinformation.

The administration has implemented a sector scheme to maintain law and order in the district. People have also been urged not to believe any unverified news and to refrain from sharing misleading information on social media.
