Firozabad (UP), September 23: Firozabad which is known worldwide as the Glass City of India is preparing to showcase its traditional craftsmanship and modern manufacturing strength at the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show 2026 in Greater Noida. The district’s renowned glass industry will get a major global platform to connect with international buyers, business delegates and exporters.
The participation is being organised under the One District One Product (ODOP) initiative and Uttar Pradesh Government’s export promotion policies, aimed at helping local manufacturers and MSMEs expand their reach in international markets.
Firozabad will have a strong representation at the mega business event, with 46 entrepreneurs and emerging exporters setting up 54 stalls. These stalls will showcase the district’s iconic glass products along with innovative designs and modern manufacturing techniques. Visitors and global buyers will get an opportunity to explore Firozabad’s wide range of products, including traditional glassware, decorative items, chandeliers and contemporary glass products.
The trade show will highlight how Firozabad’s centuries-old glass-making tradition is adapting to changing global demands. Entrepreneurs will present products combining artistic designs with advanced production methods to attract domestic and international markets.
Apart from glass products, manufacturers from other sectors including textiles, garments and dairy products will also participate, reflecting the growing industrial diversity of the district.
ODOP initiative has provided local artisans and small businesses with support in areas such as skill development, packaging improvement and financial assistance. These measures have helped entrepreneurs prepare products according to global market standards. Through the UP International Trade Show 2026, participating businesses are expected to engage in Business-to-Business (B2B) meetings with buyers and companies from different countries, creating opportunities for export growth and employment generation.
Deputy Commissioner Industries, Firozabad, Sandhya Yadav said the event will provide a major opportunity for local entrepreneurs to establish their presence in international markets.
She said that 46 entrepreneurs from the district will showcase glassware, textile products and dairy products through 54 stalls, and expressed hope that the event will help generate export opportunities for ODOP products while strengthening Firozabad’s industrial growth.
