Kushinagar: On February 21, the district administration of Kushinagar, under the direct leadership of District Magistrate Mahendra Singh Tanwar, held the Sampoorna Samadhan Diwas at the Tamkuhi Raj tehsil auditorium. DM Tanwar personally heard public grievances alongside Superintendent of Police Keshav Kumar, reinforcing his hands-on approach to governance.
The initiative, a top government priority, focuses on ensuring swift, transparent, and fair resolution of citizens’ complaints at the grassroots level. DM Tanwar made it clear that public service delivery must be efficient, accountable, and result-oriented.
During the session, DM Tanwar firmly directed officials to resolve complaints in a time-bound and impartial manner, strictly following established rules. He issued a strong warning that any negligence or unnecessary delay would invite strict disciplinary action.
On-the-spot review of complaints under DM Tanwar’s supervision
A total of 56 complaints were registered during the program — 28 related to revenue, 11 to police matters, 5 to development works, and 10 concerning other departments. Demonstrating immediate action, six revenue cases were resolved on the spot. The remaining complaints were forwarded with clear instructions for timely disposal and continuous monitoring.
Following the grievance session, DM Tanwar conducted a detailed inspection of tehsil records and pending court files, directing concerned officers to expedite long-pending cases.
In a decisive step, DM Tanwar issued show-cause notices to 17 officials who were absent from the high-priority public grievance forum. He emphasized that absence from such an important platform reflects disregard for governance responsibilities and directly affects citizens seeking justice.

The officials have been given three days to submit satisfactory explanations. Failure to comply may result in adverse entries in their annual records and recommendation for departmental proceedings.
In another strong move under DM Tanwar’s administration, 34 individuals were externed from Kushinagar district under the Uttar Pradesh Goonda Control Act, 1970. The administration stated that their activities were found detrimental to public peace and order.
The externed individuals are barred from entering the district for a specified period without court permission. Strict enforcement of the order has been directed, with clear warnings of legal consequences for violations.
