Addressing the event, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said cooperatives play an important role in strengthening the rural economy and promoting self-reliance. He noted that increased participation of youth has helped expand the cooperative movement and cited Maharajganj as an example of effective implementation.

State officials present at the event said the recognition was based on data submitted by districts during the campaign period.

Campaign Implemented Across the District

The Cooperative Maha Abhiyan was implemented across Maharajganj under the supervision of the district administration. As part of the campaign, awareness programmes were organised to encourage farmers, youth, self-help groups and rural residents to join cooperative societies.

Village-level registration camps were conducted to facilitate enrolment. Officials said these measures contributed to a rise in membership and improved outreach of cooperative institutions in rural areas.

Administrative Outreach Initiatives

In addition to the cooperative campaign, the district administration organised gram chaupals and public interaction programmes in various villages. These initiatives aimed at addressing local grievances and improving access to government services. Health-related activities were also conducted during some of these outreach programmes, benefiting a large number of residents.
