Major Revelation in Noida Unrest: Rumors Spread via Pakistan-Operated X Accounts and WhatsApp Network; 62 Arrested

Noida: The police have made a significant claim regarding the recent unrest that occurred during a workers' agitation in Noida. According to Police Commissioner Laxmi Singh, the investigation has uncovered certain social media activities that were utilized to destabilize the atmosphere.

Allegations of Spreading Rumors via Social Media

The police state that two X (formerly Twitter) accounts have surfaced, through which false information was disseminated. These accounts have been identified as "PROUDINDIANNAVI (Anusi Tiwari)" and "MIRILYAS (mir_ilyas_inc)."

According to the investigation, these accounts were created approximately three months ago. On April 13, they were used to spread a false report claiming that 14 people had died and 32 others had been injured. The police assert that this information was entirely misleading; however, following this specific post, a situation involving tension and clashes emerged in several parts of the city.

Claims of a Pakistan Connection

The police have also claimed that both of these X accounts were being operated from Pakistan. It is reported that Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) were utilized to conceal the actual geographical location of the operators. However, this allegation remains a subject of the ongoing investigation, and a definitive conclusion will only be reached once the inquiry is complete.

WhatsApp Groups and a Network for Mobilizing Workers

The investigation has also revealed the involvement of certain individuals who created WhatsApp groups to connect with workers and incite them. According to the police, people were added to these groups by scanning QR codes.

It is alleged that these groups were used to instigate workers to gather at various locations and participate in protests. The police maintain that this specific network was instrumental in the attempt to disrupt public order and destabilize the situation.

Arrests and FIRs

In connection with this entire case, 13 FIRs have been registered so far, and 62 individuals have been arrested. Prominent names among the accused include Rupesh Roy and Manisha Chauhan, who were arrested on charges of operating a WhatsApp network and recruiting members.

Additionally, the names of Manish Chauhan and Aditya Anand have also surfaced in connection with instigatory activities. According to the police, these individuals had been actively engaged for a considerable period in traveling to various locations to establish such networks.

Police Claims and Future Action

According to the police commissioner, certain external elements were attempting to foment unrest within the industrial zones. Efforts were made to incite workers through the use of social media and databases.

The police have further stated that action—potentially under the NSA (National Security Act)—may be initiated against those whose involvement is clearly established.
