Lucknow News: Uttar Pradesh politics witnessed fresh turbulence after Akhilesh Yadav launched a blistering attack on the BJP government through a strongly worded post on social media platform ‘X’.

Taking aim at the state administration ahead of the upcoming elections, the Samajwadi Party chief claimed that the people of Uttar Pradesh are prepared to “completely reject the BJP” in the next electoral battle.

Sharp Questions Over Power Crisis

Targeting the government over the ongoing electricity crisis, Akhilesh described the situation as a “massive power disaster” and questioned the functioning of the state administration.

In a sarcastic swipe, he asked whether the state’s Power Minister even attends the Chief Minister’s review meetings, and if not, what the reason behind the absence is.

‘Show a Picture Together’: Akhilesh’s Taunt

The SP chief further remarked that if the Power Minister does participate in those meetings, then the Chief Minister should release a photograph with him to clear public doubts. He added that people have rarely seen the Chief Minister and the Power Minister together in a relaxed or cordial atmosphere, fuelling political speculation within the state.

Attack on Governance and Administration

Escalating his criticism, Akhilesh alleged that under BJP rule, police personnel are now being deployed at electricity substations to control public anger. He also claimed that several BJP MLAs and MPs are themselves writing complaint letters against their own government, indicating growing dissatisfaction within the ruling establishment.

‘Government Has Lost Its Current’

Ending his post with a sharp political jibe, Akhilesh said the BJP government has now “lost its current,” using the electricity metaphor to question both governance and political momentum. His remarks have once again intensified the political confrontation between the Samajwadi Party and the ruling BJP in Uttar Pradesh.

Political Temperature Rising in UP

Notably, Akhilesh Yadav has consistently targeted the BJP government over law and order, governance and electricity-related issues in recent months. During recent press interactions as well, he raised several questions regarding development work and administrative functioning, making this latest social media attack part of a broader political offensive ahead of the crucial electoral season.
