CBI Tightens Noose in NEET-UG 2026 Paper Leak Case (Img: Internet)
New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested two people in connection with the alleged NEET-UG 2026 paper leak case. This takes the number of arrests to 13. The Central Bureau of Investigation is still trying to find out who else was involved in leaking the examination papers before the national medical entrance test.
One of the people arrested is Dr Manoj Shirure, a doctor from Latur in Maharashtra. The Central Bureau of Investigation says Dr Manoj Shirure helped three students get the leaked Chemistry questions before the exam. One of these students is the son of a coaching centre owner who is already linked to the case. The Central Bureau of Investigation says the leaked material came from another person, P V Kulkarni.
The Central Bureau of Investigation also arrested Tejas Harshadkumar Shah, a physics teacher at Dr Abhang Prabhu Medical Academy in Pune. The Central Bureau of Investigation says Tejas Harshadkumar Shah got the leaked Physics questions from another person, Manisha Havaldar before the NEET-UG 2026 exam.
The Central Bureau of Investigation is still investigating to find out the truth and identify everyone involved in the paper leak.
The Central Bureau of Investigation has searched 49 places across the country. The Central Bureau of Investigation found laptops, mobile phones and important documents that are believed to be linked to the leak. The Central Bureau of Investigation is now analyzing these devices.
The case started on May 12 2026 when the Central Bureau of Investigation got a complaint from the Department of Higher Education under the Ministry of Education. The complaint was about the NEET-UG 2026 question papers being leaked before the exam.
Far the Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested people, from Delhi, Jaipur, Gurugram, Nasik, Pune, Latur and Ahilyanagar. The Central Bureau of Investigation says it has found the source of the leaked Chemistry, Biology and Physics questions that were circulated before the exam.
