Lucknow: Samajwadi Party founder Mulayam Singh Yadav son and husband of Aparna Yadav—under suspicious circumstances, political and administrative activity has intensified. The police have initiated an investigation, while SP workers have raised demands for a CBI inquiry into the matter.
According to Dr. G.C. Gupta, Director of the Civil Hospital, Prateek Yadav was brought to the hospital around 5:55 AM; however, upon examination, neither a pulse nor blood pressure could be detected. Subsequently, an ECG test was conducted in the ICU, where doctors pronounced him dead.
Upon receiving information about the incident, the police arrived at the scene and initiated the necessary legal formalities. The body was later sent to KGMU for a post-mortem examination, which was conducted under the supervision of a four-member medical board. The entire procedure was also videographed.

Prateek Yadav's death has raised several questions. According to sources, his body and fingernails appeared slightly bluish, leading to suspicions of possible poisoning. However, doctors maintain that the actual cause of death will only become clear after the post-mortem and viscera reports are received.
Stepping up their investigation, the police have sealed Prateek Yadav's bedroom. Additionally, his mobile phone, laptop, and other electronic devices have been seized. DCP Vikrant Veer stated that the police are investigating the matter from every angle and that an update on the case will be provided shortly.
Meanwhile, Samajwadi Party workers have demanded a CBI inquiry into the incident. An atmosphere of mourning prevails in Saifai as well, and most members of the family have already arrived in Lucknow. According to sources, Prateek Yadav had been suffering from a severe ailment—Pulmonary Embolism—for a long time. In this condition, a blood clot becomes lodged in the veins of the lungs, thereby disrupting the body's oxygen supply and blood circulation. It is reported that on April 30, he was admitted to a private hospital in critical condition.
However, after showing some signs of improvement, he left the hospital and returned home without informing the doctors. Sources further indicate that he also suffered from lung and liver-related complications and had to be hospitalized for treatment on several occasions.
Prateek Yadav was known as a fitness enthusiast and also ran a gym named "Fitness Planet" in Lucknow. He is survived by his wife, Aparna Yadav, and two daughters. Several leaders, including Akhilesh Yadav and Yogi Adityanath, have expressed their condolences on his passing.
