UPSSSC announces 1,536 Junior Engineer vacancies in Uttar Pradesh, with shortlisting based on PET-2025 scores (Img: Pinterest)
Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has announced recruitment for 1,536 Junior Engineer (JE) posts, offering a fresh opportunity for technically qualified candidates seeking government jobs in the state. The recruitment covers 1,156 Junior Engineer (Mechanical) posts and 380 Junior Engineer (Electrical) posts.
The commission has issued separate advertisements for both categories. Candidates who appeared in the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET)-2025 and received a scorecard will be eligible to apply for the respective main examinations, subject to the prescribed conditions.
The online application process for the Junior Engineer (Mechanical) Main Examination will begin on November 3, 2026. Candidates can submit their applications and fees until November 25. The deadline for fee reconciliation and permitted application corrections is December 2, 2026.
For the Junior Engineer (Electrical) Main Examination, applications will open on November 6, 2026. The last date to apply and pay the fee is November 27, while fee reconciliation and permitted corrections can be completed until December 4, 2026.
According to the commission, candidates will be shortlisted for the main examinations based on their normalized PET-2025 scores and merit. Applicants whose actual or normalized scores are zero or negative will not be shortlisted.
The commission has also allowed candidates whose PET-2025 results fall under the Under Investigation (UI) or Provisional categories to apply conditionally. However, their shortlisting and further selection will depend on the outcome of the ongoing investigation.
