Greater Noida: The Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show concluded on Tuesday, but apart from business, investment and industrial opportunities, the event also emerged as a platform that introduced young visitors to new career possibilities. During the five-day exhibition, students and young professionals explored opportunities across multiple sectors, including banking, insurance, pharmaceuticals, medical education, research and sports journalism.
The participation of universities, financial institutions and companies helped visitors understand that career options after education are no longer limited to traditional fields.
The event witnessed participation from more than 160 private and government universities, nationalised banks, private banks and insurance companies. Financial institutions including Punjab National Bank, Bank of India and State Bank of India interacted with young visitors and provided information about banking services, career opportunities and skills required to build a future in the financial sector. Insurance companies also highlighted the changing employment landscape and emerging career opportunities in the insurance industry.
The pavilion of Major Dhyan Chand Sports University, Meerut became one of the major attractions for students interested in sports-related careers. Uttara Saxena from New Delhi, who wants to pursue sports journalism, said the exhibition helped her discover that a specialised course in the field is available at Major Dhyan Chand Sports University in Meerut, located close to her home.
The interaction helped students explore career options beyond conventional professions.
Several leading educational institutions, including Rajshree Medical Research Institute, Bareilly, King George’s Medical University and Integral University, Lucknow, showcased their courses and career programmes. Students received information about medical education, healthcare internships and employment opportunities in the healthcare sector.
Pharmaceutical companies also guided students about required skills, emerging fields and career opportunities in areas such as drug research, production and the pharmaceutical industry.
The presence of educational institutions and industries provided young visitors with a better understanding of career choices available after graduation. The event highlighted opportunities in skill development, internships and professional training, helping students connect education with future employment possibilities.
The UP International Trade Show also reflected the vision of making Uttar Pradesh a hub for investment, industries, education and employment opportunities. The participation of companies and universities allowed young visitors to understand that career growth today extends beyond traditional sectors and includes emerging industries and specialised skills.
As the event concluded, many young visitors returned with not only information about companies and institutions but also fresh ideas about their career goals.
