Kaushambi: District Magistrate of Kaushambi, Dr Amit Pal, on Saturday heard public complaints during the Sampoorna Samadhan Diwas organised at Chayal Tehsil and directed officials to ensure prompt and quality resolution of grievances.

The grievance redressal programme was held simultaneously across all tehsils of the district to address issues raised by residents. During the session at Chayal, the district magistrate reviewed complaints related to revenue matters and instructed concerned officials to resolve them within a fixed timeframe.

Focus on Timely Disposal of Complaints

While reviewing petitions submitted by residents, Dr Pal emphasised that officials must treat complaints received during Tehsil Day with seriousness. He directed departments to ensure that all grievances are addressed in a transparent and time-bound manner so that no case remains pending unnecessarily.

The district magistrate particularly stressed coordination between revenue and police officials in cases involving land or revenue disputes. He instructed joint teams of the two departments to visit sites when required and ensure effective settlement of complaints.

Officials were also directed to assist eligible applicants in submitting online applications for government schemes so that beneficiaries can receive benefits without delay.

Complaints Received Across Tehsils

According to official data, a total of 45 complaints were registered during the grievance hearing at Chayal tehsil. Out of these, one complaint was resolved on the spot.

At Manjhanpur tehsil, 16 complaints were received, of which two were disposed of immediately, while Sirathu tehsil recorded 12 complaints, with one case resolved on the spot.

Inspection of Tehsil Facilities

After the grievance hearing, Dr Pal conducted an inspection of the tehsil premises to review administrative arrangements. During the visit, he instructed Sub-Divisional Magistrate Arun Kumar to ensure adequate seating arrangements and proper drinking water facilities for people visiting the tehsil for official work.

Expressing dissatisfaction over the cleanliness situation at the premises, the district magistrate directed the tehsildar to improve sanitation and maintain better upkeep of the offices.

Review of Records and Revenue Work

During inspection of the SDM court, the district magistrate instructed officials to maintain records systematically and accelerate the disposal of revenue-related cases. He also reviewed files in the tehsildar court and ordered an explanation from the concerned official after finding incomplete entries in certain records.

Senior district officials, including Additional District Magistrate (Judicial) Om Prakash and other administrative officers, were present during the inspection.
