New Delhi: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at 7 Lok Kalyan Marg in the national capital on Saturday brought renewed attention to the political and administrative developments in Uttar Pradesh as parties began preparing for the 2027 Assembly elections.
The interaction between the two leaders has taken place at a time when the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is intensifying organisational activities in the state, focusing on grassroots coordination, booth-level preparedness and strengthening communication between the government and party structure.
The Prime Minister’s Office shared a picture of the meeting on social media, confirming the interaction between Prime Minister Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Officials described the meeting as a courtesy call, while details of the discussion were not officially disclosed.

The meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Yogi Adityanath came shortly after the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show 2026 held at India Expo Mart in Greater Noida.
During the event, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath interacted with representatives of companies from countries including Russia, Vietnam, Belarus, Japan and Singapore.
The Uttar Pradesh government invited investors to explore opportunities in sectors including defence manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, aviation, medical devices, agriculture and industrial production.
The state administration has been promoting Uttar Pradesh as an emerging manufacturing and investment hub, highlighting industrial corridors, connectivity projects and business-friendly initiatives.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah, during the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show, highlighted the state’s growing role in India’s defence manufacturing ecosystem.
He referred to projects linked with defence production in Uttar Pradesh, including BrahMos missile manufacturing and AK-203 rifle production, while discussing the state’s contribution to India’s manufacturing capabilities.
The Uttar Pradesh Defence Corridor has remained one of the major initiatives promoted by the state government to attract investment in strategic manufacturing sectors.
The focus on defence production, industrial growth and employment generation has become an important part of Uttar Pradesh’s economic narrative.
