Kushinagar: The murder of Nishant Singh, also known as Shaktiman Singh, a resident of Naika Chhapra Tola Amarpur village under the Kasya police station area has sparked grief and anger across the region.

Describing the incident as extremely tragic, condemnable and unfortunate, Kushinagar Member of Parliament Vijay Kumar Dubey and Hata MLA Mohan Verma met the bereaved family on Saturday and expressed their condolences.

The MP assured the family of all possible assistance and said that strictest action would be taken against all those involved in the crime. He stated that no guilty person would be spared and justice would be ensured.

Police and Administrative Action

During the visit, MP Dubey held discussions with Kasya Circle Officer Kundan Singh and Kasya Station House Officer Abhinav Mishra, directing them to take strong legal action against the accused, including proceedings under the National Security Act (NSA), if required. He also spoke to the District Magistrate of Kushinagar over the phone and instructed officials to provide every possible support to the victim’s family.

Assurance to Approach Chief Minister

The MP said he would personally meet Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to brief him on the entire incident. He emphasized that the action would go beyond formalities and that the punishment process would be pursued effectively to send a strong message to those attempting to disturb peace and law and order in the district.

He added that maintaining Kushinagar’s tradition of social harmony is the administration’s top priority and that any kind of lawlessness will not be tolerated.

Leaders and Residents Present

Several local leaders and party workers were present during the visit, including former MLA Rajnikant Mani Tripathi, Hata Block Pramukh representative Sudhir Rao, Nagar Palika representative Rakesh Jaiswal, and many others. Hundreds of local residents along with the Kasya police team were also present at the site.
