New Delhi: Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav on Monday launched a sharp attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party while arriving for the INDIA bloc meeting in Delhi.
Speaking to reporters outside the Constitution Club, where leaders of several opposition parties gathered for the key alliance meeting, Akhilesh accused the BJP of spending massive amounts of money on “negative propaganda” against political opponents.

“No political party in the world has spent so much on negative propaganda,” the SP chief said while taking aim at the BJP’s campaign style and political strategy.
He alleged that the ruling party has been trying to divert attention from key public issues through misinformation and aggressive political messaging.
The INDIA bloc meeting is being attended by several opposition leaders, including Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav, TMC chief Mamata Banerjee, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Uddhav Thackeray and others. The meeting is expected to focus on opposition unity and the alliance’s future political roadmap.
The meeting comes at a time when the opposition alliance is facing internal tensions, with parties like DMK and AAP staying away from the gathering. Differences between some alliance partners have also surfaced in recent days.
Despite the cracks, opposition leaders have maintained that the INDIA bloc remains committed to raising issues such as inflation, unemployment, alleged misuse of investigative agencies and attacks on constitutional institutions.
